Greetings from a warm and beautiful day in Seattle! Oh my gosh it was so warm!! Wore flats, capri’s, t-shirt, and a hat all day! LOVED IT!

My mom got called into work this morning, well online work. So Kerry and I decided to venture out. I needed to go to Bartell’s (which is a local drugstore just down the street) to pick up more test strips. After that stop we found the closest redbox and returned the movies. Dumb & Dumber To was hilarious, while Foxcatcher in my opinion don’t waste your money! One of the slowest movies i’ve ever watched!

Next stop on our list was Gas Work’s Park. Gas Works Park public park on the site of the former Seattle Gas Light Company gasification plant, which is on the north shore of Lake Union. I packed my camera along, and took a few photo’s. Kerry and I walked around looked all the old structures, and then we walked down to the waterfront. I’ll post a few pictures below. As we were heading back to the car, I noticed a 4-5 men sitting in the truck on a mini van. I also noticed a truck had pulled up right behind the mini van, and another gentleman got out packing a very expensive looking video camera. I thought to myself “WOW, that’s too nice of a camera for a local news station.” So being nosey I glanced around just to see if I recognized anyone, and I DID!! Pretty sure I punched Kerry in the arm and shouted “holy crap do you know who that is?????????” Turns out it was Captain Sig Hansen on the Northwestern for Deadliest Catch. Which is like my all time favorite show!! They must have been shooting some type documentary or something. We stopped and I had my camera out, hoping I could get a quick picture. One of the film guys said “if you want your picture taken, just ask him he will do it.” Sig was about ready to get into a car, but I asked politely if I could get a quick picture, and he replied “sure!” I handed my camera to Kerry, well he still had the lens cover on, and Sig let him know! He said “hey you still have your shit on your lens!!” I died laughing and so did he. He took a quick picture, I thanked him and he headed for his car. Would have been cool to talk to him, but I had taken up enough of his time, and he obviously was on a schedule. I was shock and beyond excited, I called my dad right away, and then texted him a picture. I of course sent it to my mom, she was bummed she couldn’t come, but was excited I go to meet him. What are the odds of that ever happening?? I wish I could have told him why I was in town, and maybe he would have given me a tour of the Northwestern! Ha ha yeah right! Well a girl can dream can’t she? Below is a picture of Captain Sig and I, followed by a few pictures from Gas Work’s Park.

After we arrived back at our car, we headed for the Space Needle. We ended up finding a parking garage over by Key Arena to park in and we did some serious walking!! We walked all over down by the space needle. Since it was such a beautiful day we took advantage of it and went up in the Space Needle. It was the first time for both of us, and it was pretty cool! You could see for miles and miles!! I took so many photos it’s crazy!!!! Throughout the day I took 357 photos, so picking just a couple to post was extremely hard! But I had to share a few with the readers! After we walked multiple loops around the observatory desk, we went inside for a drink. I had to get the souvenir Space Needle, which is ridiculously huge filled with Dr. Pepper. I couldn’t even finish it all, and for anyone who knows me knows I have a serious addiction to Dr. Pepper!! I couldn’t resist texting a picture to Emily Wood of my cup, and she fell in love with it! I told her when I get home it belongs to her. We both agreed it would make the best slurp cup ever!! Over all it was a great day!! Not only weather wise, but being able to walk around and just enjoy the sights!! This might sound a little selfish but I was extremely proud of myself! I hiked up hills, downhills, stairs, and all over Seattle today without getting short of breath. I wore my mask, which was extremely hot, but hey not taking any chances. With this gift I’ve been given I can do so much already!!! I’m just amazed with my progress and what I can do in life!! All I can say is it is AMAZING and I LOVE every minute of it!!! I know I say that quite often but it’s the truth!!

Well these little chicken legs of mine walked over 3 miles today, and they are tired! I have rehab at 9:00 am tomorrow morning. Time to take my nightly meds, do my routine and head for bed! Hope everyone had a great day at home!! Heard it was beautiful in Roseburg!!! Miss you guys like crazy!!!! Please enjoy the pictures! Love sharing this journey with everyone!

Until next time………..
