Well drum roll please……….blood culture results are in and finalized……NEGATIVE!!! I am breathing a little easier today! Dr. Chalkraborty will be back tomorrow morning, and I’m sure the “auto pilot” button will be pushed, and we will get through this hospital stay. Today was a much better day. My lungs are feeling better a lot better, and a lot less tight. My cough is decreasing, and the junk coming up isn’t as thick. So I would say we are definitely moving in the right direction!!
As I sit here writing this blog, while munching on chocolate nesco (an American favorite!) I’ve had a pretty busy day. I was lucky enough to have my kindergarten teacher and her husband stop by for a nice visit. It’s been awhile since I have seen them. Then my fourth grade teacher stopped by for a quick hello. He was also my mentor/supervising teacher while I was doing my student teacher. These special people take time out of their day to come visit, and most importantly taking the time to stay in contact truly means a lot to me.
My nurses and CNA’s decorated my room with snowflakes from the ceiling. Very festive and pretty! My husband made his famous towel chickens to add to the mix. So we have snowflakes and chickens hanging throughout my room! Ha ha. You have to have some kind of entertainment in this place!
