This week has been off to a busy start and it’s only Tuesday! Yesterday I felt like I met myself at the front door as I was coming and going to much. After we get back from Seattle I think I will go into hibernation for a fe days. Ha ha.

Saturday I got to spend a majority of the day, with my dad. That doesn’t happen very often, just my dad and I get to hang out. Enjoyed dinner and then we went and watched Power Pit Wrestling at the Elks lodge. I have been an avid follower of WWE since I was in high school. Even though this wasn’t WWE, it was still fun to watch we shared some great laughs! I think I had more fun watching the little kids run around collecting autographs during intermission and just how excited they were! I even saw a former student at the event. Back in my subbing days I would sub periodically down at Canyonville. I have met this young man only a couple times, I recognized him right away. I kept thinking to myself that was many years ago, he probably does not remember me. As the night progressed he recognized me and started waving. During intermission and he came over sat down and just chatted up a storm. One of my good friends is a science teacher at Canyonville, and currently in her 7th grade science class they are learning about genetics and mutations. My friend, Molly, copied off our brochure and read it to her class. So this student was fully aware of my current health situation. As the student and I were chatting he was asking many questions. After the event was over this students father walked over to me, shook my hand and then thanked me. He proceeded to tell me, his son came home from school the other day talking about what he had learned in science class that day. He said his son still remembers you from years ago, and couldn’t believe what I was going through. Just when you think students don’t remember you they do. I miss being in the classroom tremendously. Just when you think students forget about you, or you feel like you aren’t impacting a persons life. Little do you know you are, in some shape or form you have an impact. For me that brought tears to my eyes. It’s a moment I will cherish.

Sunday I spent the day with two of my good friends Jennifer and Alesha finishing up the center pieces for Saturday night. They turned out pretty cool! My aunt bless her heart ran all over town looking for the “right” candle for the center pieces. Can’t wait to see it all come together!

It’s been amazing how many people who have called asking if they could join us Saturday night. Family and lots of friends. Many who hold a special place in my heart. Can’t wait to make more memories with some amazing people! We have also received lots of phone calls from people saying they have items they would like to donate for our auctions! I must say we have some pretty amazing items! Can’t wait!!

Can’t believe our event is just four days away! So many people who are working diligently to make this event happen. I can’t thank them enough for all their donated time and hard work. This is going to be an amazing event and one fun evening!

I received a phone call yesterday from Dr. Schreiner’s office. My sinus surgery is scheduled for February 10th. Check in time 6:15 am. Ready to get it done and over with! It will be here before I know it.

Well I’m not going to lie I am completely wiped out. My lungs are feeling just okay this evening. Coughing up some pretty thick green stuff. So this old girl is off to bed. I need a little extra rest to get through tomorrow! It’s a good reminder I need to slow down at times, I can’t be on the run like I used to. So goodnight everyone!

Until next time……
