Hello again!

Just to give everyone a quick run down. Wednesday November 12th, I had a check up at CF clinic at OHSU. Needless to say it didn’t go so well. Even though my PFT’s are pretty comparable to last months, I just wasn’t feeling well. My chest was super tight, short of breath, wasn’t sleeping, exhausted, using more oxygen and the stuff I was coughing up was super thick and green as could be!  My CF doc was kind enough to work with my pulmonologist  in Roseburg and let me do my “clean out” at Mercy. A “clean out” consists of 14 days of heavy doses of iv antibiotics around the clock, along with chest therapy every 4 hours. I am currently on day 11 of my clean out. I am feeling so much better!!  I am getting my energy back, and I am able to finish a sentence without gasping for air.

Being at Mercy has allowed my family and friends to come visit. Which is always nice! :). Although the staff here at Mercy have been nothing but fabulous I am beyond ready to sleep in my own bed!  Tuesday can’t come fast enough!

Until next time! 🙂
