Good Evening!
Started the day with a nice relaxing morning! Enjoyed sleeping in, leisurely waking up, sipping a cup of tea just looking out the balcony. Was a beautiful morning the sun was shining bight. Turned the television on at 10 o’clock just in time for The Price Is Right! My favorite show of all time! Was glad I could enjoy the show with my dad as well. Felt great to relax! Kerry had a few things to do for work this morning, so he headed out with his laptop to get things done. He came back within in a few hours. After “Hour Power” there were a few things I needed to do around the apartment, so I quickly got those done and then I was ready for the day.
Kerry and I headed out this afternoon, had to take advantage of the beautiful weather!! Put on my shoes and mask and away we went. We ventured out to the Pioneer District today. Haven’t walked around in this particular area before. I will admit it was VERY interesting! Pretty sure we climbed Mt, Everest to get to our destination. It was a straight uphill walk for about 3 blocks. I truly gave my new breathers a workout! I was huffing and puffing by the time we reached the top! I will admit I had to take a small time out and catch my breath. Even Kerry agreed it was a climb for the “average” person. He got a workout too!.
Our destination was the Sky View Observatory, we had a Groupon for this and thought we should cash it in. It is an observation deck on the 73rd floor of the Columbia building. You are 902 feet above the ground with amazing views of the skyline. It is also the second highest observatory deck on the west coast, ninth in the nation. I will admit it had some pretty amazing views to see! Lots of history to read as well. Had a hard time taking photos, had too much reflection in the windows. Boooooooooo! Oh well, I will definitely remember the scenery!
After we finished with the Observatory deck, we rode numerous elevators to get back down to the bottom. Well honestly it was more like two, but fell like more! Ha Ha! We ventured back to the train station back to Westlake. We met up with my dad and then had dinner, with a friend neither Kerry nor I have seen in a while. Justin Myers was so gracious to take time out of his day to meet up, and have dinner with us. Justin has his own morning sports talk show up here called “Justin and Gee” on 710 ESPN Sports. Obviously he talks about sports, but he mainly focuses on the Seahawks and Mariners. It was pretty to cool to hear about interviews he has done in the past. He has a pretty sweet setup going for him. Who else gets to watch sports, research stats, talk about games, players, whatever and get paid to do what they love? Way to go Justin, you’ve worked hard and have totally earned it! I enjoyed our conversations tonight, they were extremely interesting! Thank you again Justin, it truly means a lot!!!!
Well it is safe to safe my breathers are worn out for the day, and ready for bed. Tomorrow is going to be another busy day in the morning, and then I have a visitor coming that I CANNOT wait to see!!! It will be a very emotional time when we finally get to hug each other! I better get my rest! Hope everyone had a great Thursday!
Until next time……………..

The Columbia Tower is the building that Josh does the Firefighter Stair Climb in. They climb to floor 69 I believe, in full turnouts and packs! Now you can all share stories! Glad you had a fun day today!
Sounds like a great day. Too bad the pics didn’t turn out I would have enjoyed checking them out. I hope today goes well, and the weather stays nice. Have a great day!! 🙂
