Hey everyone. We are having a little excitement here in Lake Union tonight. Currently there are four Sheriff helicopter’s hovering over our hotel and the Seattle Cancer Center, not sure what is going on. Kind of creepy! My mom and I keep standing on the balcony watching and wondering if we are safe to even be watching! YIKES! Hope it isn’t too serious.
News flash we just turned on the local news and on Olive street which is just a couple streets behind us there is a May Day protest going. The police are pushing (by foot) the protesters back towards Capitol Hill, they are pushing them up hill on Broadway street trying to tire out the protesters. They are labeling them “May Day” Protesters. People are throwing rocks damaging local businesses,vehicles and also throwing rocks trying to hurt the police officers. From the live footage on tv there is a large police force is present. The helicopters are monitoring the I5 ramps to make sure the protesters do not make their way onto I5 and causing more damage. This is NUTS! I can’t believe it.
The rest of the day was a laundry and run a few errands type of day. Being on the go last couple of days, it was nice to have a “slower” paced day. Definitely needed to do laundry, you can only wear the same outfit so many times! Ha ha We also needed to find a grocery store and get a few basic groceries. Such as bread, milk, fruits and some veggies. Trying not to buy too much stuff since hopefully we will be headed home within a couple weeks. Fingers crossed! My mom also had a few projects for work she needed to work on, so she was able to complete those tasks and be done for the week.
It was a relaxing day here in Seattle, not much going on. Still feeling great! The new breathers are working awesome! Tomorrow is going to be an early day, but super excited for our day! Not going to give any details away as to what we will be doing. Although I will tell you this it will be a new adventure for us, hopefully a lot of photo opportunities will be presented! Can’t wait to share with you all! Tune in tomorrow to find out what we are up too! 🙂
