Woke up early this morning and headed into town, had a few errands that needed to be done. I took my furry children with me. Ever since I got home I have an extremely hard time leaving them! They literally go everywhere with me now! It’s also funny, I’ve noticed when I’m home the both stick to me like glue. Where ever I go, they go. When Kerry gets up in the morning they both get in bed with me. Ah such a great feeling, I truly love it! Anyway’s on with my story. I do have to giggle because I stopped at Fred Meyer this morning, hoping to run in a grab just a few items. I didn’t have any make up on, but I did have my mask on thinking no one would recognize me, I was wrong! I ran into several people who I knew, and then a few people who I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting yet but they read our blog daily! I felt like a mini celebrity! Ha ha!
After my dogs and I returned home, I needed to eat some lunch I was starving! After lunch I needed to do my Cayston really quick. Cayston is a fairly new inhaled antibiotic in the CF world, it helps fight pseudomonas in a CF patients lungs. It’s actually a pretty cool medication, you do it three times a day and it takes less than two minutes to inhale. You do Cayston in cycles, so 28 days on and then 28 days off and so on. Since my last lung cultures showed pseudomonas my transplant team strong feels by doing Cayston for a few months the pseudomonas will eventually go away. Also since my sinuses contained a majority of the pseudomonas, and by having those “roto rootered” that should eliminate a majority of the problems. Anyway’s after lunch and Cayston, I needed to knock out my luau project. It took me several hours, but it felt so good check that off my list!
Next up for the girls and I was a trip to the post office! Well my children waited in the car while I ran in and purchased stamps. I had a nice long conversation with Rick the post master! He couldn’t believe I was standing right in front of him looking and breathing as well as I am! I kept smiling and saying “thank you!” After we finished talking and I headed out to my car, another lady recognized me. She gave me a big hug and we also had a quick conversation. Was very nice!
After our trip to the post office, we ran down to my dads shop to see what was going on. Turns out he wasn’t there, he had just missed him. I will say my four legged furry children were extremely unhappy they missed their grandpaw! Good grief, Maui was pretty vocal about it. Guess we will try again tomorrow.
We came back home played out back before the rain came, then we went inside. I continued working on the guest room, while Maui was my shadow. Apparently she heard something outside and freaked her out. Callie just laid in the middle of the living room floor not having a care in the world! So funny how different these two dogs are, but I love them very much!
Today has been a great day. Being out and about and having people recognize me, ask questions, and just have a conversations puts a huge smile on my face! Love knowing people have followed our journey, and I have inspired them in some small way. It truly means a lot when I hear these things, I can’t thank you guys enough for the compliments! Hopefully I will get to see more people while i’m out and about!
Anyways I hope everyone had a great Thursday! This girl is off to bed!
Until next time………

“Just Breathe”
A nice relaxing day about town. No surprise the kids are sticking close to their mom, we are all happy you are back home where you belong!! I was reading the comments from yesterday’s blog, I am still chuckling about your mom’s “taco post.” It’s hilarious, now all I can think about is how great she must be at making tacos after all the practice she gets from making them for you!! I think we will have mexican food tonight. 🙂
Happy, Happy, Happy!!!!
