Today was spent on the road again! We left Elko early this morning, still surreal saying “goodbye” to Aunt Vera. Although this visit with Aunt Vera was a tough one, but it will definitely be one to last a life time. A majority of the way home I kept thinking about past memories my family and I have made with Aunt Vera. I feel very fortunate to have her in my life! Anyway’s okay enough about Elko, before the tears start falling again.

On our trek home we were literally in the middle of no where and a rancher was hurdling his cattle across the road. We had to come to a complete stop, it was actually an impressive to watch. He had several dogs doing a majority of the work, while he rode his horse in the back of the pack. After the cattle were across the road, he let out a whistle followed by a hand signal and those dogs instantly stopped and laid down. Once the rancher crossed the road, those dogs got right back up and continued keeping the cattle together. Guess I am just amused by little things! Ha!

Once I got home it felt like a heat wave over here! In Elko the past four days we had some serious thunder and lightening storms, followed by a lot of rain. When I got out of the truck I had a heat stroke! Well, not really but couldn’t believe how warm it was at home! I like this!

Also being in Elko which is at a high altitude I noticed my new breathers did pretty well. There were times I could definitely tell a difference, but not like pre transplant! My sinuses did fairly well too. Still have a lot of discharge coming out, I often wonder where in the world is it all coming from? Guess Dr. Schreiner did some serious “roto-rooting” up in there! Hopefully things will settle down soon!

Well I finally unpacked all my stuff, laundry is going, nightly meds down the hatch, and my nightly routine is complete. It is time for this girl to hit the hay! Have a super busy day tomorrow! Can’t wait going to be exciting! Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend!!!

Until next time…….
