When my alarm went off this morning, I noticed today’s date is June 4, 2015. I totally cannot believe it! It has been four months since I got a second chance at life! Holy smokes where has the time gone? I think about my progress I have made over these last four months and it is nothing but spectacular! Loving life more every minute of everyday and LOVING these new breathers!

I feel like I got a lot accomplished today! Started the morning off by having my weekly lab drawn today. I was suppose to do it yesterday, when I woke up I did my morning routine and took my morning meds. When I have my weekly lab draws i’m not supposed to take my morning meds and my blood has to be drawn at 9:00 am. I take my Tacrolimus at 9:00 am and 9:00 pm. It is a timed draw, after I take my nightly dose I have to have my blood drawn twelve hours later. They are checking to see what my tacro levels are. I hope that makes sense ha! Today I had to visit an actual phlebotomist in the lab today. Since my central line got pulled last week, I no longer have any lines to draw from. I ended up getting poked in my right arm in the inside elbow portion. Apparently my blood didn’t want to be drawn today, it barely trickled out! It seemed like eternity to fill up the syringe! I also forgot how much I HATE tourniquets! YIKES! Oh well, I survived! Ha!

After having my labs drawn I had several errands that needed to be done in town. A few errands were for the luau. I will be honest and say it feels nice to check items off my list! Whoop whoop!

When I finished my errands in town I came home had a snack did my Cayston, and then headed out the door again. The dogs and I were headed to my dads shop. My dad and I have been working on a luau project. Well I should say my dad has done a majority of the work. But we took an old piece of plywood and made a surfboard out of it. My dad cut it out sanded it down, since I’m not allowed to be around that kind of stuff. Once he finished cutting, he routed the edge to give it a little detail, then he sanded it and we were ready to go! I put on my respirator and started premiering the board. Once the primer dried we painted it a pretty purple color. Anyway’s throughout the week we have been working on it. Today we put a white stripe down the middle. Which my good friend Erin graciously cut out for us on her fancy cutting machine, and then Tom Meyer cut out our logo “Just Breathe” on a darker vinyl purple color. We put the stripe and the logo on the board today. For being our first time ever making something like this we did pretty good! I thought it would be fun to stand it up at the luau and use it for photo props if people want. Should be fun!

I checked an item off my bucket list tonight, so proud of myself! I know this is probably gong to sound a little dumb, but I was able to wash my car, vacuum, and detail the inside of my car! All without coughing, getting short of breath, I just kept plugging along! It has been probably several years since I’ve been able to do this. I can’t explain how good it felt to do it all by myself tonight! Yeah baby! ha!

Anyways’s tomorrow looks like another busy day! I start the morning off with a check up with Dr. Schreiner. Wonder if he will find any good boogers to pull out! ha ha! Anyway’s it has been a great day! This girl is off to bed! Hope everyone had a great Thursday! Cheers everyone!

Until next time…………
