What an impressive thunder and lightening storm we had this morning! I was shaking the walls pretty good at our house. Callie slept right through it in her dog bed, while Maui on the other hand she was in a panic, I felt so bad for her. Even after the storm was over she would’t go outside to go potty. I had to go outside with her, stand in the yard with her until she went. Good grief! But as the day progressed she was fine. It was definitely another hot day! You know it’s hot when your dogs won’t even go outside! I think it is safe to say they like laying inside an air conditioned house! Spoiled dogs! Ha!
My cousin Jay and I met for lunch before he headed home. So glad he was able to make the trip down for the luau, we don’t get to see each other very much but when we do we pick up right where we left off. It was also nice to have someone on one time today, really enjoyed our conversations! Good way to start my day! Although I do have a funny story to tell. My cousin Jay and I went to Between The Buns for lunch, we were greeted when we walked in the door and then we found a table to sit down at. I was wearing a pair of converse shoes, as the waitress walks over she makes the comment she saw a picture on facebook of several people wearing the same looking Converse shoes standing in a circle. Both Jay and I started laughing, I replied that was me! She commented on what a cute picture it was! So I had to tell her the story, was so cute! We all three had a good laugh! 🙂
After lunch I came home did a few things around my house, laundry, still unpacking things from the luau and then just straightening up the house. I am not suppose to be around house cleaners or even run the vacuum cleaner, so I am limited on things I can do around my house. It feels good to be able to do a few things around the house. Not have to worry about dragging my oxygen hose around, or having to stop every couple of minutes to catch my breath. Feels amazing! When I do things around the house, run, or just do things I couldn’t do years ago always puts a smile on my face. It’s truly a miracle what Dr. Mulligan and University of Washington has done for me. I am back on my feet, loving life because of them! Truly a miracle! I find myself looking at my scars daily to remind myself “yes, I actually had a DLT and YES I am able to have my life back!” So amazing!
After I finished my chores I sat down on the couch for a few minutes, or so I thought. I was out like a light, slept for several hours! Yikes! I totally didn’t mean to do that, but I guess I am still trying to catch up from this past busy weekend. I guess take advantage of it while I can. Anyway’s it is time for me to go do my nightly routine and hit the hay. Hope everyone had a great Tuesday. Oh yes, Deadliest Catch is on tonight! Whoop Whoop!
Also I just wanted to let everyone we still have “Just Breathe” bottles of wine left, if anyone would like to purchase a bottle or two please let me know and we will get it to you!
