Hey Everyone~

Well today was my first full ay back from being at the coast. Holy smokes it is warm over here! This afternoon I was ready to head back to the coast! Ha! Oh well, I will take the sunshine any day.

Started the morning off by going to the dentist. This is embarrassing to admit but it felt so good to get my teeth cleaned! I originally had an appointment at the end of January, well being at Mercy for a clean out, needless to say I wasn’t going to make my appointment. I knew Dr. Puttman and his staff would be understanding, and I could reschedule once I was out of the hospital. Little did we know we know we would get the life saving call. I was almost a year overdue to get my teeth cleaned. YIKES! I thought they might have to get the grinders out to scrape away all the junk. Ha! Thank goodness she didn’t have to do my scraping, my teeth looked great! No problems and no cavities! I’ve never had a cavity and I intend to keep it that way! I was a happy camper! I took my new tooth brush and I was on my way!

Today was Dr. Chakraborty’s birthday. I had made him a “Just Breathe” bowl while I was in Seattle. Well I had painted it when I was on one of my “paint pottery” kicks. I was super excited to give it to him. So I stopped by his office really quickly to deliver his present. He was very grateful for it. Totally made my day!

I decided to run across the street to KidDocs and visit Dr. Jaci Groshong. The last time I had seen her was at our benefit. I was long over due for a Dr. Jaci hug!! Plus I had painted her a “Just Breathe” coffee cup as well, and I was beyond ecstatic to give it to her. As I walked in the door I received hugs from all the office staff! They are so sweet! Dr. Jaci was in a patient room, so I chatted with the staff for a few minutes. Really enjoyed our conversations! Once Dr. Jaci was finished with her patient she had to do a double take! She couldn’t believe it was me! She was thoroughly impressed with how well I looked! I received one of the biggest hugs from her I have ever received! We chatted for a brief minute, she loved her coffee cup! I was so excited! She had patients waiting to see her and I didn’t want to take up too much of her time. So we gave each other one more hug and I was on my way. Dr. Jaci and I have a very special connection. I believe she started taking care of me when I was 11 years old. That was twenty years ago! She is a very special person who holds a very special place in my heart! I am beyond grateful our friendship continues!

After seeing Dr. Jaci it was time for me to head home. Once I got home I did a load of laundry, and then took the dogs out to play. Well they were not playful at all, they were more excited about laying in the grass than playing. They still much be recovering from the coast. We were outside for awhile, it was peaceful just sitting outside listening to our water feature in our backyard. Maui was ready to go back in the air conditioning she just laid on the back porch step. I let her in and she went straight for our bed, jumped up and went to sleep. Callie came in as well and went to sleep in her dog bed. I did a few more things around the house, and then I received a text message from my dad asking if I wanted to go for a ride in the hot rod. I was all over that! I left the dogs home, one it was too hot for them to ride in the hot rod and two it is pretty loud inside since the inside isn’t finished yet, and I knew Maui wouldn’t like that.

So I be-bopped down to my dads shop, exciting to ride in the hot rod. I got out of my car and my dad asked if I had my driver’s license, I replied no but I can get it! So I grabbed it and stuck it in my pocket. Next thing I knew my dad handed me the keys and told me it was my turn to learn how to drive her! I had one of the biggest smiles on my face, and I was so excited! Pretty sure I was worse than a kid in a candy store. I was nervous to drive her, just because I have never driven it before. The peddles took a little while getting used to, but I got the hang of it! We left my dads shop headed towards Roseburg Forest Products, out towards Pyrenees Winery, back on I5 north, we took the next exit the Round Prairie exit. Headed back to Roseburg Forest Products, then we turned on Brockway Road headed to Ben Irving, checked out the lake and several people swimming and then we headed back towards Winston. Even though I was covered in sweat I wasn’t ready to head back to the shop. I was having a blast! All the work my dad and Marty Shellberg did on the motor, and Jay put new exhaust on the hot rod, she is sounding AWESOME! Can’t wait to take her for another spin again SOON! That is if my dad will let me drive again! Hopefully he will! Ha!

Well I better start wrapping this blog up, since I wrote a novel! Today was a great day. Not only getting to drive the hot rod, but being able to surprise to very special people, was totally worth it! The new breathers are still feeling great! I have noticed when I do my in home spirometry my numbers are going up! Lets hope they keeping going up! Such a great day!! Loved every minute of it!

Hope everyone had a great Wednesday! I know I did. I didn’t get to watch the Thunder Valley Nationals from Bristol this past weekend, so now it is time to relax and watch some drag racing! Could life get any better? I don’t think so! 🙂

Until next time………
