Hey Everyone!

Just thought I would write a quick blog and let everyone know how things are going. Things have been going great the past couple of days! The new breathers are still feeling amazing! Got my lab results back today and my tacrolimus level came back normal! It was 9.4 and the goal is between 8 and 10. The fluzonacole is doing the trick! Whoop whoop! All my other levels came back normal, except my kidney function was slightly elevated. I was told I need to make sure I am drinking enough water in this heat. I will admit I am horrible about drinking water, I would rather drink a can of Dr. Pepper instead! Since I got sick last week, I’ve been drinking at least two glasses a day. Hey that’s a lot more than I used to drink! I might have drank two glasses a week before hand! Ha!

I had a few errands to run into town and then I was meeting my mom after she got off work at Costco. That place was busy! But then again when isn’t Costco busy? Of course I wore my mask. As my mom and I were wondering around the produce section a sweet lady says “hey you’re Jen Dwight!” I replied with “yes” with a little puzzled look on my face. She introduced herself and it was Diana O’Brand! I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting this lady in person before, but let me say it was an honor to finally meet her! While we lived in Seattle she would send cards to us and she had the most beautiful handwriting I have ever seen! Well it turns out she has done calligraphy for 27 years! She is amazing! She is a cancer survivor! Whoop whoop! She had her cancer treatments at Seattle Cancer Center, and she too, lived at the Residents Inn by Marriott! She knew all the in’s and out’s of Lake Union, she was a huge help while we were up there! It was so cool to finally meet her, now I have a face to go with her name! It totally made my day talking to her! Thank you Diana!

I had to chuckle as we were walking through Costco, I saw a lady pushing one of those flat bed carts full of stuff. I looked at my mom and said remember about this time last year you were pushing PITA and I on one of those throughout the store? She said “why, yes I do!” We definitely got some looks, and I am more than positive people were laughing. But hey I was still kickin’! I asked my mom if she wanted to push me around for ole time sake, and she said “nah I’m good!” Ha! Gotta love my mom! 🙂

When I left Costco I had cleaned out my closet the other day so I had several sacks of stuff to donate. Shoes, t-shirts, dresses you know the usual stuff, so I pulled into Saving Grace Thrift Store and donated everything. The young lady working the counter was extremely happy to receive the stuff! She was super sweet as well. Love helping out the animals, plus it makes you feel good to donate old “stuff”!

On my way home I stopped by my Grandmas house to see what was going on. Plus she has been wanting one of our Just Breathe purple bracelets, I’ve been meaning to get one over to her. My Aunt D and dad were there, so I visited for a little while and then made my way on home. We talked about a “plan” for graffiti tomorrow! I am beyond excited to go to the Show & Shine and then the Winston cruise! You bet I will have my camera in hand! I’m wearing my Rat Fink gear tomorrow! Looks like my whole family will be at the Show & Shine, aunts, uncles, cousins, and of course Grandma! Should be a good time, hopefully the heat will hold off. Hope to see a lot of you guys out and about tomorrow! Love looking at cars! Thanks to my dad, late grandpa Jack, and my late Uncle Stan (Owen as I called him) I have always had a passion for cars!

Alright well its getting late I better get to bed. Tomorrow morning will be here before I know it! Hope everyone had a great week! Let’s have a great weekend!

Until next time………

Hey Jen, I’m a parent of a student at Brockway. I work at Costco and saw you yesterday when you were walking past the food court and met Diana. I so badly wanted to say hi, but as you can tell we were slammed and there wasn’t time. You looked incredible and you made my heart smile to see how well you were doing. By brother is one year post kidney transplant and it has been wonderful to follow your story. Thank you for being the strong, dedicated and determined woman you are.
