Well I heard back from pathology today and I’m afraid I have some bad news to report. No photos were taken of my old lungs or new lungs. Guess we will never know what they look like. Although I got to thinking when I go to clinic next week I wonder if I could obtain X-rays of my old lungs. Even though it would only show the scaring it still could be interesting. Never know until you ask!
Since I didn’t have anything on my schedule today I took advantage and slept in. Woke up at 9:00 o’clock just in time to take my Tacrolimus and do my morning routine. Sat on the couch enjoying a cup of hot tea and watching the Price Is Right with my dad. Afterwards I piddled around the apartment, making several phone calls answering several emails. Finally got around for the day then headed out the door with the family.
We had to run back to the hospital and pick up the rest of my medication from yesterday. Quickest trip to the pharmacy! Back to the car and we headed to Red Robin for a quick snack. Decided to go check out Best Buy across the street. I’ve been wanting to get a camera. The sights up here are pretty amazing!! Definitely want to capture my journey! Plus this summer my family and I have several fun trips planned that definitely need to captured! We spent a great deal of time in Best Buy. I can’t stop taking photos since we got back to hotel. I think this is going to be a fun new hobby!
After we finished up at Best Buy we stopped in Sports Authority looked around at the sale rack real quick. Was a nice store! Had a great selection!
Last stop was Target. We needed to grab a few grocery items and I needed some over the counter vitamins. I made sure it was a quick trip, I was getting tired. We got our items and headed for the check out. As the cashier was ringing up our items she looked at me and said “oh do you have a cold? Is that why your wearing a mask?” I replied “no, I’m not sick I just had a double lung transplant a month ago.” She then replied with “oh, good reason to wear a mask then!” We both chuckled and continued on with our conversation. She finished ringing up our items, we paid and headed towards the parking garage. We loaded our bags in the trunk and headed for our temporary home. It was after 5:00 o’clock when we got on I5 and it was sllllooooooooowww moving! Good thing we didn’t have to go very far! It took us about 20 minutes or so to get home. Sure does make me miss our small town commute!
After we arrived back at our apartment, put the groceries away, my mom made delicious pulled pork sandwiches! After dinner I went outside on the balcony and I think I took a picture of everything possible with my new camera. Ha ha. I’m starting to figure it out, and I’m really enjoying it! Hopefully I can take some near photos tomorrow and post a few in a blog. We will see though! Ha ha
Sorry this is a short blog for the evening. But it’s time to do my routine and hit the hay. Hope everybody good Thursday! I know I did! Feeling great today! My sternum is a little sore tonight. I’m thinking it’s from all the walking around the last couple of days. Can’t wait for this feeling to go away!!!
Until next time……..
