Ahh felt so good to sleep in this morning and recharge my batteries! Lounged around sipped on a hot cup of tea while watching The Price Is Right. Did a few things around the apartment and then finally got ready for the day.

Today the family and I decided to venture north of Seattle, change of scenery. We drove about forty five minutes up the freeway to Marysville. We went to the Tulalip Casino and played bingo. Out of the four of us not one of us got a bingo, but we still had fun! I think I was more excited about my hot dauber! Ha ha. Cheap entertainment! We sat in the non smoking part and wasn’t too bad.

We are actually heading back to the apartment right now. It’s a really pretty drive. The Seattle skyline lit up at night is a beautiful site.

So I had several people ask me “what’s the story with Rat Fink?” How did I become a “finkster?” When I was younger my mom worked nights so I spent a lot of time with my dad. It’s pretty obvious I’m a daddy’s girl. Ha ha. Anyways when he was a kid he had a bunch of Ed “Big Daddy” Roth models. I got hooked on “Mother’s Worry.” Then of course my dad started following NHRA drag racing and then so did I. Rat Fink is Ed “Big Daddy” Roth’s rendition of Mickey Mouse. I just liked the way he looked, creepy, funny looking. When we started racing our Jr. Dragster I had to have a rat fink patch on my driving suite and I also had a stuffed rat fink doll that rode on my steering wheel. Which by the way I still have my driving suit and my rat fink doll. He (the doll) sits proudly in my office, but he is getting ready to ride in my dads new hot rod. Still to this day my dad and I collect Rat Fink memorabilia. Down at the shop our office is lined with all kinds of Ed “Big Daddy” Roth models, trinkets, posters, stools, and much more! Just a little FYI for the evening. Ha ha.

Anyways just arrived back at our apartment time to get comfy for the evening and do my nightly routine! Kind of weird getting home late and not having to stay up extra late and do therapy. Still feels like part of me is missing. Felt great all day! Enjoying life!!! Tomorrow is suppose to a great day weather wise. I’m think it’s time to play with the new camera again! Hope everyone had a great Thursday! Goodnight everyone!

Until next time…….

Another great day Jen. I used to collect Ed Roth trading cards when I was a kid (early mid 70’s). Back in those days Ed had quite a following, his models, posters, t-shirts etc. where everywhere it seemed. Wish I would have kept all of that stuff, it would be worth a mint now!! Have a great day and enjoy the beautiful weather 🙂
