Yesterday and today have been great days! Weather wise you couldn’t have asked for anything better! Yesterday my dad had to pick up saws at two different mills, so my girls and I tagged a long with him. After he visited the mills, loaded up the saws, we stopped at Subway for a sandwich. We got them to go and went to the nearest park. Maui and Callie needed to run! Well Maui is the one who will play fetch all day long, and Callie is more into laying in the shade watching Maui play! After we finished eating I got my camera out and took some really cute pictures of the Maui playing, Callie playing and Callie licking my dad’s face! I need to download them onto my computer. Then I will post a couple!

After I got back I met up with Candy and Stephanie Boerste for a little while. I love hanging out with those two, they are such kind hearted caring people! Later on that evening Kerry and I went up to Ken and Jennifer Woods house. Their daughter Emily is home for the weekend, had a very nice visit with her. We all sat around a fire, with a glass of wine enjoying each others company. Well I was drooling over everyone’s glass of wine. I sipped on a nice cold Dr. Pepper on the rocks! Ken took good care of me he roasted I don’t know how many marshmallows for me. Anyone who knows me knows how much I LOVE marshmallows! As long as I would eat them he would cook them for me! He is quite the marshmallow cooker! He gets an A+ from me! Although I do have to say this, Kerry and I got home a little after 10 o’clock, as I walked in the door I thought to myself “man I can go straight to bed! Well swallow a handful of pills, and do my nightly routine which takes less than 10 minutes!” I do not have to sit for at least 3-4 hours tied to machines before I can go to sleep. Also when I was out and about yesterday I did not have to lug oxygen tanks all over the place! Another great feeling was my dad and I left at 9 o’clock I woke up at 7:30, showered, got ready, did my morning routine, ate breakfast and I was out the door! I can’t explain what an AWESOME feeling that is!

Today I totally slept in this morning! I was tired from the day before. I woke up a little after 9:30, fixed a vanilla mocha, sat on the couch and enjoyed the morning. I ended up taking a nap! YIKES! Oh well, not going to lie it felt pretty great! After my nap, someone around us was doing some field burning. Even though I wanted to go outside so bad, I didn’t think it would be a good idea for my new breathers. So I stayed inside and worked on getting my stuff put away. It’s a long process but I’m starting to make some head way. Well………..I think anyways ha ha!

Tonight my good friend Erin Weber had mentioned to me I needed to get on Facebook and search “Breathe with me strawfie challenge” The idea is to give people an idea of what it is like to live with a reduced lung function. The challenge is you put a straw in your mouth, plug your nose and try to breathe in and out through the straw for one minute! I challenge all of you to give it a try, take a stawfie or selfie of you doing the challenge and post it on our Jen Dwight’s Fight page. One minute sounds like and feels like eternity to me! To be completely honest if I could go 10 seconds without coughing while I just tried to breathe. Let’s get those straws out people, give the challenge a try and post your pictures!! I would love to see them!!!! LET THE CHALLENGE BEGIN!

Also don’t forget the Luau is fast approaching June 7th at Pyrenees Winery! We are going to have one fantastic post transplant celebration! I would LOVE to see all your bright and smiling faces! Most of all I can’t wait to give each and everyone of you a hug! It’s been way too long! Ticket information can be found on our website www.jenniferdwight.com! Check it out, it’s going to be one to remember!

Anyway this girl is ready to call is a day. Tomorrow is Mother’s Day. Hope everyone gets to celebrate the day with your mom! I know I will! Hope everyone had a great Saturday!

Until next time………..
