Just doing a quick check in tonight. Being on the go the last couple of days kind of caught up with me today. I slept in and then was super lazy this afternoon. I eventually got in the shower and got ready for the day.
Kerry, my mom and myself ventured out the the Northgate Mall. We only wandered through Nordstorms Rack and Sports Authority (again). Ha ha. After those two stores I was wiped out! On our way home we rented a movie and picked up pizza for dinner. I’ve been lounging ever since we got back to our apartment.
Jennifer Wood (Jwood) has been looking after our house while we’ve been gone. Before we left Kerry and I had a salt water aquarium. We were hoping to find a new home for it before we got the call, well needless to say it was still in our living room when we left. Jwood took care of that! Her nephew decided he would like to have it. JWood texted and asked if that was okay, and I couldn’t reply “YES!!!” fast enough! Kerry on the other hand cried! He was sad to see it go. I think he’s finally recovering and not missing the fish! Ha ha. I don’t know who was happier to see it go Jwood or myself. Ha ha. The fish were pretty and relaxing to look at but being gone for the next three months, it was more of a hassle than anything.
Seattle is pet friendly city. I constantly see people out walking their dogs. It’s really
making me miss my four legged furry children. I haven’t seen them since my dad brought them by mercy one afternoon, while I was in “jail”. I know my Aunt D is taking very good care of them and she is enjoying their company, I can’t wait to be licked to death when I get home! Hopefully they remember me! Ha ha.
My family and I have been working on a letter to our donor family. I must admit this is probably they hardest letter we’ve ever had to write. How many ways can you tell a family you are extremely grateful for their gift and most importantly thank you. I hope by writing this letter the donors family can find grievance and closure in their process . I also hope they realize a piece of their family member still lives on! If anyone has any other suggestions on what to include I’m all ears! After I submit our letter it is completely up to the donor family if they would like to have any contact. I really hope the choose to write back. I am very curious about the person who saved my life!! When I get back home I would really like to plant a tree of some sort in the memory of our donor. It would also be a great remember of how precious life is too. 🙂
Besides being on the tired side my new breathers are feeling great! Getting stronger each day!! Simply amazing!!!
Well it’s time to start our movie. Hope everyone had a wonderful Friday!!
Until next time……..

“Just Breathe”
Another great report, keep up the good work Jen. Sorry Kerry lost his fish tank, maybe we can get him one of those screen savers that looks like an aquarium 🙂 Besides he still has the fish tank at work he can look at 🙂 Anyway, have a great weekend!!
That is an excellent idea, Kevin, a fish screen saver!!!!! I too miss seeing them, but not taking care of them. Lol. Jen make sure you tell the donor family about your wonderful blog.
I bet it’s a tough letter to write! Are you going to include your blog address in the letter, just in case they’d like to read about your progress?
great job….
I really enjoy following your blog, thank you for keeping us updated and allowing us to follow along with you on your journey. You are a great advocate for donorship! It would be so comforting knowing that you were the recipient. I am sure the donor family will recieve you with open arms, if not literally, than in spirit.
Know the family would be thrilled to know how much you appreciate your great gift! I would agree that you should give them your blog address, I think it would give them a lot of comfort. Love you all!
