Wow! What a long but super fun day! We slept in until 9:00 this morning, we got around and headed out the door. Before we left I coated myself in sunscreen. It was going to be a hot day here in Seattle, and plus we were going to be out in the sun all day and I didn’t want to chance it. Once we left, first stop was breakfast! I needed some fuel for the day. After we got a bite to eat we were off to CenturyLink field.
There was so much going on before the concert we walked and walked and walked just too try and see everything. Next thing we knew it was 3:30 and the gates opened at 4:00, so we got in line. I will say the line moved rather quickly to get in. The first act opened at 4:30, so I was on a mission to get to my seat. But first I definitely needed a bottle of water!
We found our seats, we actually had pretty good seats for being in the second level. First band to open was Old Dominion. They played for about half an hour and they were really good! If only heard one of their songs, but loved the other songs they sang!
We had a sort break, maybe 15 minutes or so and then Cole Swindell took the stage. He came out rockin at Seattle Seahawks t-shirts, that place went nuts! Cole Swindell is FULL of energy he was all over the stage! Very entertaining! He played for a good 30-45 minutes so.
Then we had another 15 minute break or so. Just enough time for a bathroom break! Brantley Gilbert came out. I really do enjoy Brantley’s music, but I had a really hard time hearing him throughout his performance. I was totally bummed. He was entertaining.
Oh man I was like a kid in a candy store for the next performer! I was supposed to see him when he came to Eugene, but well we all know that didn’t work out. I was ready to sing at the top of my lungs! Mr. Jason Aldean took the stage singing “Hicktown” one of my all time favorite songs! He had lots of pyro techniques going on throughout his performance, and TONS of fireworks went off! I knew every song he sang, I’m pretty sure I belted every song at the top of my lungs and WAY off key! At one point I found myself with tears in my eyes. I realized I was at a Jason Aldean concert, singing right along with every song and best of all I was NOT coughing! I couldn’t believe it. I wasn’t struggling to breathe, I could sing like a “normal” person! How awesome is that? Oh man I have to say Jason is the best performer I have EVER seen! I could sit there all day long just listening to him. I was in heaven! All though I did not want to see his show come to an end, he played for almost a hour and a half. It totally rocked my socks!
The last and final performer was Kenny Chesney. Although I have seen Kenny before in concert, he still puts on one amazing show! Throughout his act, he brought Cole Swindell back to sing with him, and then he saved the best for last. Jason Aldean came back out and sang four song with Kenny. It was beyond awesome. Those two together make a greta duo! They even sang some old school songs such as “Summer of ’69” great song! Oh man Kenny is full of energy, he is all over that stage. He signed a Seattle Seahawks helmet and gave it away to a lucky audience member. Then when Jason came back out both he and Kenny signed a guitar and gave it to a little boy in the audience. That was so cool to witness!
Sorry Eric Church, this concert blew you out of the water by a long shot! This was an awesome concert! I didn’t want it to end. I sang along, stood most of the time, definitely made these new breathers WORK! Will my CF side showed today. I was sweating horribly, and now that the day is done I am COVERED in salt crystals! If you were to lick me I would taste just like a salt shaker. Guess that is my cue to go jump in the shower! This girl has had a busy day even though my new breathers still feel amazing after all of that singing, my feet are beyond exhausted for all the walking!
Hope everyone had a great Saturday, I know I sure did!
Until next time…….

To replace the salt that she loses thru sweating. Pretzels are another good salt replacement. She used to eat them like crazy when she played summer ball. Love you too sis!
