Turned off to be a beautiful day in Seattle! Had some rain this morning, but Mr. Sunshine came out along with the wind. The wind is what made it chilly. Oh well, still a great afternoon to get out and about!
Ken, Robert and Kerry took off early this morning for the wineries. They visited three different wineries and bought some tasty wine! So they say, hopefully I’ll get to sample some in a couple weeks! It’s time to find out if these new breathers like red wine! Ha ha. I just lounged around the apartment did some laundry while they were out and about. The guys came back this afternoon.
Once they returned I couldn’t resist I had make Ken and Robert ride the S.L.U.T (South Lake Union Trolley) while they were here. :). So the four of us (Ken, Robert, Kerry and myself) hopped aboard headed for the Crab Pot! I was determined to walk the entire distance, up hills, down hills, up stairs and even downstairs! If anyone who has ever walked with Ken Wood he is a fast walker!!! But I kept truckin’ right along with him! From downtown we walked 5 to 6 blocks to Pike’s Market, wondered around inside for a little while, ventured downstairs across the street to the Water Front. We finally reached the Crab Pot and boy was it packed!! We had a wait before we could get in, but it was worth it!! We had a delicious dinner! I ate my fair share of king crab, snow crab, Dungeness crab and shrimp!!! Oh man I could eat seafood everyday of the week!! LOVE IT!!
After dinner we had to get an ice cream cone for the walk back. I had a scoop of Butterfinger Heaven it was pretty creamy! After we finished our ice cream cones we started the trek back downtown. I cheated this time around and rode the elevator from the Water Front up to Pike’s market. Wasn’t ready to climb 152 stairs just yet. I will get there! Although I have to say I kept pace with the guys walking up and down the hills back to the trolley station!!! I should sleep really good tonight! Ha ha. I just took a peak at my health app I took 5,794 steps and walked 3 miles while we were out and about! Whoop whoop! Still can’t get over the fact I’m able to walk and keep pace with everyone now. So grateful I can!!!!!
When we returned to our hotel we met up with my mom downstairs in the bar. The guys watched the last few minutes of a basketball and then we just sat and visited. Don’t really get the chance to sit and talk one on one with Ken that often. So I really enjoyed our visit! Will be sad to see him and Robert leave tomorrow. But hopefully we will be home soon and we can meet up more often!!
Well my chocolate covered strawberries are calling my name. I better have one or two before I go to bed! Ha ha. Hope everyone had a great Saturday night! Goodnight everyone!
Until next time………

Hey Jen!
It was good to see you on Facetime tonight when Robert called …. even if it was for just a brief moment … and even if MOST of the time he had the camera facing his EAR! Lawsie. Thank YOU for entertaining my husband (and giving me a well needed break) for the weekend. Friday night when he called me he just kept saying he couldn’t get over how great you looked and what a strong woman you are. We BOTH are in awe of you!!

Glad you’re doing so great!!! Its amazing to me how fast you’ve recovered from such a major ordeal! And you’re keeping up with everyone, that’s awesome! God is good!
Here’s a question for you… With all the medications you have to take, are there any food restrictions besides the “no wine”? Or any other restrictions at all, post transplant?
Great question Melissa! Yes I do have a new diet I have to follow. I would love to answer your question in tomorrow nights blog, if that is okay with you of course! That way others can learn about it as well! Thank you for asking! Love it!!
So thrilled with how well you are doing, sounds like you will walk circles around your ole Aunt. ha Am simply amazed when I read your blogs at how well you are doing and how far you have come. Continued prayers going your way, we love you all!!!!
