Well today was my last full day of occupying room 234 here at the fabulous Mercy Medical Center. In approximately eighteen hours I should be a free woman!! Not like I’m counting down or anything! Ha ha. No, I shouldn’t complain the staff here have been nothing but amazing. Who can say their nurses made some pretty cool snowflakes to decorate your room with? This girl! Just to help pick your spirits up. To everyone who have sent flowers I can’t thank you enough. Not only have they brightened my room, but they always put a smile on my face when I look at them. To everyone who has stopped by, sent messages, or called to check in on me, I send a big thank you your way as well. It makes me teary eyed just knowing people out there actually care about little old me!! 🙂
My lungs are still feeling great and sounding awesome!! Still maintaining my weight so I didn’t have to do tube feedings this time around. Man I could get used to that! Ha ha. What a great Christmas present! Going to be home for the holidays with my friends and family, feeling great! Now if only we would just get a call, that would complete my Christmas! Soon, very soon I hope!
One of my most nearest and dearest friends arrived from New Hampshire yesterday with her family. Her and her daughter Hannah stopped by. It totally made my day!! Emily and I have known each other since high school, and I consider myself to be extremely lucky to call her my friend. Thanks for coffee and the visit this morning. Oh and thanks for letting me share my cotton candy with Hannah! You guys mean a lot to me! My other good friend Alesha stopped by today, was nice to catch up with her as well! Before I knew it it was 8 o’clock already! I was asking myself where has today gone? I guess time really does fly when your having fun! Ha ha!
As far as tomorrow goes, I will receive and iv at 8:00, 9:00 and then again at 2:00. Once my 2 o’clock dose is complete I can escape! I also have to receive an iv dose of iron as well. My levels are still on the low side. So hopefully this will help get them up in the “normal” range. The week after Christmas I will follow up with Dr. Chakraborty. Just to make sure things are still going well. Dr. Schreiner is out on vacation until next week. So we are still waiting until he gets back.
My vest machine just went off. My final session of therapy is complete for the evening. I’m off to brush my teeth and try to catch some zzzz’s! Hope everyone had a great Monday!
Until next time…..
