Good evening everyone!

Sorry for the late post. Kerry, my dad and I just got back to the apartment from the Mariners game. It was a late game tonight! We played the Angels (game #3) again and lost 5-3. Kind of bummed we lost, but oh well you can’t win them all! We still had fun though!

I was not ready for my alarm to go off this morning, I was snoozing hard! I guess I really was pooped from yesterday. Ha ha. Had to check in with the ENT (Ear Nose and Throat) doctor today. The good news is the “new” nasal irrigation is helping the left side of my nose, but on the right, not so much. I’m sorry to say he didn’t get out the “giant booger pickers” and pull out and BIG crusts. As of right now the plan for my sinuses are to keep using the “new” irrigation rinse twice a day, and then follow up with Dr. Schreiner when I get back home. Dr. Winemaker (I believe that was his name, how bad is that I can’t remember his name????) will speak to my transplant team just to make sure they are okay with the plan. Or if they feel something needs to be addressed then we will have a new game plan. But for now we are holding steady until we get home.

After our appointment we all headed back to the apartment, I found myself nodding off in the chair so I went and took a nap on my bed, before we had to leave again. The three of us successfully navigated from our apartment to the stadium by first getting on the trolly, getting off downtown, hopping on the train and riding it all the way to the stadium! It drops you off right in front of the stadium, you’re just a short walk to the main gates. It was a good walk, most of it was up hill. The only thing I was concerned about was trying to dodge cigarette smoke. Even though I wore my mask, I just don’t like it!!!!! I also found myself getting very protective of lungs tonight. For some reason I kept thinking “Jennifer if you inhale any of that smoke your going to damage your new lungs!” I’m sure I looked pretty funny walking down the sidewalk, I was all over the place. Pre transplant just the sight of a cigarette I would have major coughing fit and made it even harder to breathe. I kept thinking that would happen tonight. But it didn’t, thanks to my new breathers I kept truckin’’ up the hills and out of cigarette smoke! Okay i’m done venting about cigarette’s now! 🙂

Don’t have anything on my schedule for tomorrow, except for watching The Price Is Right! Haven’t watched it all week, and i’m having withdrawals! Ha ha! But other than that not sure what the day will bring. I’m hoping Mr. Sunshine will stay around and we can be outside enjoying it.

I am beyond ecstatic to say my dear friend and fellow CF’er Jay Starr (who just had his second lung transplant back in Pittsburgh) was finally released from the hospital today! He is one amazing person and one heck of a fighter!! After 86 days in the hospital, he and his wife Sheryl are enjoying their first night together in their new apartment! Hopefully Jay will keep up the hard work, well I know he will and they too will be home within a few short months! Congratulation Jay and Sheryl!!! Keep those boxing gloves on Jay, and I will be waiting for a ride in your Corvette when we both get home!!! Sending lots of love and hugs you way!

Alright this girl is off to bed! It’s way past my bedtime. Hope everyone had a great day.

Until next time………….

Sorry the Mariners lost but like you said, the games are always fun anyway. Darn cigarettes, not sure what the attraction is, but they seem to be everywhere. I hope things go well for Jay and his family. Have a great restful day 🙂

Good news all the way around! Keep on keeping on! Love you all!
