Well it is official I am writing tonights blog from the comfort of my own couch! That is right this girl received the green light to come home yesterday at clinic! My transplant team is extremely happy with how will I am progressing in after spending the week in the hospital. They think I am “bouncing back” nicely.

After clinic yesterday my mom and I went back to the apartment and started packing our stuff. Even though my dad took a majority of my stuff home a few weeks ago, I still had accumulated a lot of stuff! Good grief! Let’s just say it took my mom and I several trips to get everything down to the car and packed. My car was stuffed when we started the trek home this morning. We both were chomping at the bit to get home. Once we were headed on I5 south this morning it was a little after 9:00 o’clock. Got a later start than we had hoped, but hey oh well at least we were going home!

We finally got off exit 119 around 4:00, my first stop was going to be my Aunt D’s house. I was beyond excited to see her and also see my four legged furry children. I was kind of nervous my kids wouldn’t remember me. They started barking like crazy at first, but once they realized who I was I was covered in doggie kisses! Ahhhh I missed them so much! It was great to see my aunt as well, a very emotional hug between the two of us. Seems like eternity since I’ve seen her, or seen anyone! We visited for while, I also got to visited with my Grandma and Uncle as well. Was sure nice to see everyone.

Once I finally reached home, my house has never felt so good! Seems like forever since I’ve been here! Well only four months , which is a while! ha ha! My couch has never felt so good as well! Haven’t moved very far in the last thirty minutes or so. Such a wonderful feeling. I have to say I’ve really enjoyed being outside this evening. All I hear is nothing but quietness! No trolly car going by, sea planes landing and taking off, people, traffic, horns honking and whatever noises that come along with the big city.

I did enjoy my time in Seattle, lots to do but nothing beats home!!! I will say though the past three months have flown by. Once I was discharged from transplant I was up ready to go each day, off walking or doing something which helped pass the time. I truly want to thank Seattle for one amazing and incredible journey. It was bitter sweet to leave the apartment this morning. Feels like part one of this journey is coming to a close, which is really is but it has only begun here at home. Can’t wait to see the rest of my family and friends now that I’m home. Can’t wait to receive some serious hugs!

Well my OWN bed is seriously calling my name. Cannot wait to lay down and crash in it tonight! I seriously forgot what my own bed feels like! Can’t wait to find out again! Hope everyone had a great Tuesday! Can’t wait to see what the day brings! Cheers everyone!

Until next time…………
