What a great way to spend the day by hanging out with a great friend and walking your legs off! Jwood and I left this morning for Eugene. We headed towards the Oakway Shopping Center to a couple of stores. We also had a very yummy lunch at P.F. Changs! Those gluten free lettuce wraps I could eat them all day long! So delish!
After lunch we headed towards the Valley River Mall. We wondered around every square inch of the mall. Even though I totally wore the wrong shoes, I tried my best to keep up with Jwood. I kept pace with her! Man it feels so great to be able to talk and walk with her and NOT get winded. Honestly it is indescribable how awesome it feels! No need for taking breaks, just keep on moving! According to my health app we walked 3.11 miles.
I do have to share a story with you, that I thought was pretty cool. Where ever we went I wore my mask, wasn’t going to take any chances! Jwood and I walked into a store and an employee was helping, afterwards he turns to me and says “okay I have to ask what is with the mask?” I replied with “I just had a double lung transplant three months ago.” I’m pretty sure his jaw hit the floor. Once he picked it up, he asked question after question. Which I totally do not mind! LOVE sharing my story! Once he finished he proceeded to tell me congratulation, and he wished me nothing but the best! After I picked up a few items and headed for the check out line, the same guy helped ring up my items. After he hit the total button he gave me a generous discount. I asked him what was that all about, he replied with “I am truly amazed with your story and I am so glad you are doing so well!” I was couldn’t believe it, I couldn’t thank him enough. I thought that was so nice!
Before we left the mall we decided to get a coffee for the ride home. So I thought anyway’s, I ordered a blended cupcake latte, and I thought Jwood was getting a coffee too, no she ordered a small pepsi. Goofball! Before we left the coffee shop I spotted these giant rice krispie treats, and I had to have one! That’s right I had a blended cupcake latte, and a giant rice krispie treat for the ride home! That should be good for the ‘ole blood sugars ha!
Today was a great day. Really enjoyed spending time with Jwood, she is a great person. So thankful to have her in my life! You are truly an amazing person and I cherish your friendship/sisterhood more than you will even know my friend!
Alright this girl is headed for bed. Lots to do around the house tomorrow, going to be an early morning! Hope everything had a great Thursday!
